Jennie S. (Kenyon) MacKay, 55, went home to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 11, 2016. Surrounded by loved ones, she passed peacefully at her home in Ayer, Massachusetts.
The eldest of five children, Jennie was born May 7, 1961 at Westerly Hospital to her late parents, David Kenyon, Sr. and Laura (Greene) Arnold.
Jennie is survived by her devoted husband of eleven years, James D. MacKay. She will be warmly remembered by her sisters Donna Jean and Cindy Wheeler; her brother David Kenyon Jr. and his wife Candy; and her "baby" brother Aaron Arnold and his wife Cathryn. Six adoring nieces and nephews and two treasured great nieces are also left to cherish her loving memory. She will be warmly remembered by dear friends Fran and Peg as well as many other friends. "To know her was to love her."
She devoted her life to Christ and trusted God increasingly. Studying the Bible, praying for and with others, encouraging others toward sincere faith and making memories with her family were of the greatest importance to her. Jennie inspired, enlightened and touched many people. Jennie earned a masters degree in counseling from Gordon Conwell Seminary. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Pepperell Christian Fellowship, 17 Main St., Pepperell, MA. Calling hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at the Pepperell Cemetery Association near the church.
In lieu of flowers Jennie requested donations would be given to the charitable organizations Young Life Capernaum (a ministry for special needs children), 314 North St. Walpole, MA. (https://capernaum bsw.younglife.org) or to Joni and Friends New England Area Ministry (www.joniandfriends.org).
