Jennie E. (Kyewski) Zalesney

Jennie E. Zalesney, educator and artist, died Saturday, February 26,2022, at her home in Plympton, MA. She was 93 years old.

Mrs. Zalesney was born Jennie Emily Kyewski in1928 in Dorchester, MA to parents John and Helen Kyewski. She graduated from Massachusetts College of Art And Design with a Bachelor of Arts degree and from Assumption University with a Master of Education degree. She married Stanley J. Zalesney in 1949 and worked as a designer for the Raytheon Corp. and as an art and graphic arts teacher in the Leominster and Dracut Public School Systems. She retired and pursued her favorite pastimes of painting landscapes in Massachusetts and shopping with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her two children, Stan, and, Diane and three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and two dogs. Her husband Mr. Zalesney died in 1998.

Mrs. Zalesney died peacefully in her sleep in the home she lived in with her son and daughter.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady Of Grace Parish worshipping at St. James Church, 13 St. James Ave., West Groton on March 11, 2022 at 10:30AM. Interment in Groton Cemetery will be private.
