JoAnne M. (Desmond) Jenkins

JoAnne M. (Desmond) Jenkins age 58 of Dunstable passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. She was the wife of Thomas F. Jenkins.

Born in Lower Marion, PA on January 19, 1959 she was the daughter of Lorraine M. (Ferrick) Desmond and the late Robert J. Desmond.

Raised and educated in Acton, JoAnne graduated from Acton-Boxborough High School. She later graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.

JoAnne worked for many years as a project manager for several local software companies and was currently working for Altran North America. She had a passion for horses and was a life- long accomplished competitive rider. She taught riding from her farm in Dunstable where she passed on her passion to the next generation of horse lovers. JoAnne also enjoyed sailing and spending time on Martha's Vineyard. However, family was the center of her life, she cherished the time with her children and extended family.

Along with her husband and mother she is survived by her children, Sarah and Max Morenz of Dunstable, Ryan Jenkins of Roundlake, NY and Hiliary Jenkins of London, England and her sister Susan Desmond-Mysliwicz.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember JoAnne on Wednesday, June 7 from 5:00-7:00 pm in the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School St., Groton. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in the funeral home.
