John William Deasy

January 21, 1950 — April 28, 2022

John "Jack" William Deasy, III age 72 of East Falmouth passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022, surrounded by family, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston from Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was the beloved husband of 46 years to Linda (Campbell) Deasy.

Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on January 21, 1950, he was the son of the late John William Deasy, Jr. and Anna (Gannan) Deasy. Jack graduated from Arlington Catholic High School class of 1968, then attended Stonehill College graduating with the class of 1972. He later attended and graduated from Framingham State College earning his MPA.

Jack and Linda married on May 31, 1975 and settled in Boxborough, MA where together they raised their loving family. Jack worked for over 25 years in public service as a police officer and EMT at Stonehill College, Tufts University, Boxborough Police Department and finally Babson College, where he retired as Deputy Chief. After retirement, he opened his own cruise travel consultant business.

During his spare time Jack cherished the time with his family, he also enjoyed traveling, being on the cape and serving in ministry at St. Elizabeth's.

Along with his wife Linda he is survived by his son Mark Deasy and his wife Michelle of Arlington, MA; his daughter Kathleen Vizen and her husband Deonefe of Shirley, MA, grandchildren Cameron and Mia Deasy and Sofia and Remy Vizen. He is also survived by his brother Robert Deasy and his wife Kathy and brother James Deasy, all of Falmouth, MA.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Jack on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 89 Arlington St., Acton. Burial will follow at Groton Cemetery, Groton.
