John Lawrence Robinson

John L Robinson, 95, of Holden formerly of Groton died at U Mass Hospital in Worcester on June 28, 2016. He was born in Groton on March 22, 1921 son of the late John and Sylvia (Lawrence) Robinson and was the husband of the late Mildred (McGrath) Robinson and the late Rose Marie (DiTaranto) Robinson. He grew up in Groton and was a graduate of Groton High School, Class of 1940.  He worked as a papermaker for Groton Leatherboard and later Nielson Company. John retired in 1986 and lived in Florida for over 15 years before moving back to the Worcester and Holden areas.

He is survived by his son Douglas Robinson of Lone Tree, Colorado and 2 grandchildren Anna and Steven Robinson.  He is also survived by stepdaughter Donna Lapierre of Southbridge, stepson Victor Gentile of Worcester, and 3 step grandchildren Michael and Francis Lapierre and Gina Lamica.  He was the father of the late David Robinson and brother of the late Philip Robinson.

Visiting hours will be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School Street, Groton, MA on Saturday July 2, 2016 from 9-11 am followed by a burial at Groton, Cemetery, Groton. Please see www.badgerfuneral.com
