Jonathan Charles Curtis of Milford, MA died on July 4th at the age of 31 after a brief illness. Jon was born in Fitchburg and grew up in West Groton and Groton. He graduated from Groton-Dunstable Regional High School with the class of 2009, received his BA in communications and rhetoric from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2013, and worked as an inside sales specialist for Plymouth Rock Assurance in Boston.
An enthusiastic and knowledgeable sports fan, Jon was always ready to discuss the merits of a play, call, or trade. That enthusiasm and knowledge extended to music, film, and TV, making Jon a sought-after companion to share a late-night binge-watch, argue over which episode of “Lost” was the best, or shout encouragement through the final minutes of a Celtics game.
Survivors include his parents Richard Curtis and Sheryl Robinson of Groton, brother Rob Curtis, sister-in-law Amanda Curtis, and niece Carter Curtis of Groton, and his beloved companion Kaity Asam of Milford.
Memorial services are being planned for the fall.
