Judith (Pierson) Martone

Judith A. (Pierson) Martone, 82, of Littleton, MA, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Judie was the cherished wife of Joseph Martone whom she had been married to for 55 years.

Judie was born in Cambridge MA, on January 14, 1940. She was the daughter of the late August and Lillian (Carmody) Pierson. Judie grew up in Arlington, MA and graduated from Arlington High School in 1958. Judie met the love of her life, Joe, while spending summer weekends in Falmouth, MA. Together, they raised 3 children, Joseph Martone, of Ayer, MA,  Jennifer (Martone) Sundberg, of Littleton, MA and Jason Martone of Stratham, NH.

A long time resident of Acton, MA (52 years), Judie loved spending time with friends and family. She had an inherent ability at making all feel welcomed and cared for. Judie took the time to listen to others’ concerns and always offered her time and assistance to help. A long time supporter of the ASPCA, Judie befriended all animals, but had a special fondness for dogs and horses.

In addition to her husband and children, Judie is survived by her brother William Pierson, of Waitsfield, VT, her daughter-in-law, Ali Martone and her 9 grandchildren, Nick, Ryan, and Brady Martone, Derek, Jaime, and Jordan Sundberg, Julia, Mark and Emily Martone.

Judie was preceded in death by her beloved daughter-in-law, Amy Martone.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Anne's Parish on Monday December 5, 2022 at 10 a.m. Burial will be private and held at a later date.
