June Archer

June C. Archer, age 81, a longtime resident of Pepperell, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018, at home, after a short illness surrounded by her loving family.She was the beloved wife of the late James Archer with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.She was born in Pepperell, on June 30, 1937, the daughter of the late Silas H. and Mary (Czarnionka) Wheeler. She was educated in the Pepperell School System.Mrs. Archer enjoyed harness horse racing, playing bingo, spending time with her family and her longtime friends Luisa Clifford and the late Joan Roberts.She is survived by her children, Gail Shappee and her husband, John, Mary Smart and her fiance, James Hawkes, Robert Archer and his wife Nancy, June Wojnar and her husband, Steve, Patricia Lounsberry and her husband Alan, Heidi Koppelkam and her husband Mark. Her sisters, Mary Lazette, Gloria Burton and her husband Bill, Daisy Tierney and her husband Paul and Judith Carlisle Marshall and brother, Silas Wheeler, Jr. and wife Maureen, Sister-in-law Vivian Wheeler, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her brother John Wheeler, sister Dorothy Bristol and son-in-law Willis “Skip” Smart.Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11 a.m.at Woodlawn Cemetery, Heald Street, Pepperell, MA.
