June I. (Hess) Judge, 95 and a longtime resident of Pepperell passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 20th, 2021. She was the loving wife of the late Paul Judge.
June was born on August 19, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA. a daughter to the late Clarence and Lillian (Staff) Hess. She met Paul Judge, the love of her life when she was 18 and began a love story that would span over 65 years. She had been accepted to art school, but chose to become a homemaker. June and Paul married
and had one daughter, June P. Judge, and four grandchildren whom she adored; Robyn Morris, Kathleen Morris Ondre, Paul Morris, and Virginia Morris.
June was very artistic and loved to draw and paint. She had an extraordinary green thumb, always growing beautiful rose bushes at every home she and her husband owned. She was also an excellent cook and loved to crochet. Her eldest granddaughter Robyn has found childhood memories of June's beef stew and her lemon meringue pie that she made from scratch. June and Paul had a very strong marriage until Paul's death in 2008.They were in bowling and golf leagues together and took trips together. She had a feisty spirit and loved to laugh and talk to people.
June is survived by her daughter and four grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember June for a period of visitation 9:30 am until 10:30 am on Saturday January 30, 2021 in Our Lady of Grace Parish worshipping at St. Joseph's Church, 28 Tarbell Street, Pepperell. Her funeral Mass will be held in the church at 10:30 and interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pepperell.
