Littleton, Massachusetts

In loving memory of Karen Jean Betts, who passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, after an unexpected illness. Karen was born on July 14, 1956, in Malden, Massachusetts, to the late John and Mary Gray.

Her warm spirit and unwavering love for those around her left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Karen's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the impact of a welcoming smile. She graduated from Littleton High and went on to dedicate over 30 years as a Real Estate Administrator with Coldwell Banker. Her dedication and work ethic were admired by colleagues and clients alike, but it was her genuine warmth and ability to make everyone feel like family that truly set her apart.

Karen's heart was as expansive as the beaches she cherished, from the sun-kissed shores of Aruba to the serene sands of Wingaersheek Beach in Gloucester. Her love for the ocean was matched only by her love for her family and friends. Known affectionately as "Auntie" to many,

Karen opened her home and heart to all, making her family Christmas parties a cherished tradition where laughter and love abounded.

Karen was predeceased by her beloved parents, John and Mary Gray; her cherished daughter, Lori Betts; her sister, Sue (Gray) Farnsworth; her brother, Russell Gray; and her longtime partner, Walter Geise. Despite these profound losses, Karen's resilience and compassion continued to shine, illuminating the lives of those who survived her. She leaves behind her daughter, Michelle Betts, and her sister, Jackie (Gray) Guthrie, along with many nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory dear. Karen's constant companion, her French Bulldog, “Wild Willie”, brought her immense joy and comfort.

Karen's legacy is one of love, hospitality, and an unmistakable ability to make everyone feel special and cherished. Karen will be remembered for her infectious smile and the warmth she brought into every room. Her family and friends will carry forward her tradition of joy and kindness, ensuring that her spirit continues to enrich the lives of future generations.

A celebration of Karen's life will be held at a later time, where we will gather to honor the beautiful soul who touched us all.

Her memory will be a guiding light, reminding us of the simple yet profound impact of a smile and an open heart.
