Karen Talbot, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024, in Groton, Massachusetts, surrounded by family. Born on October 25, 1953, in Wakefield, RI, Karen was known for her generous spirit, thoughtful heart, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.
Karen built a rewarding career as an administrator in the guidance department at Governor Livingston High School, where her kindness, warmth, and generosity left an enduring impact on her colleagues. Known for her strong work ethic and caring nature, Karen touched the lives of many and was beloved by those who worked alongside her.
Above all, Karen’s love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. Her husband of 48 years, Jeffrey Talbot, was her steadfast companion. Together, they built a family filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Karen was the proud mother of her two daughters, Jessica Larrabee and Meredith Jarvis, and the devoted grandmother to Henry, Emma, Evelyn, and Finn, whom she adored with all her heart.
Karen is also survived by her brother, Christlieb Boldt, and countless friends who felt like family. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her but will live on in the hearts of those she loved. She now rests peacefully, joining her father Richard Boldt, her mother Marion Boldt, and her brother Richard Boldt.
A funeral service for Karen will take place on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 10:30 am, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 75 Cold Spring Rd, Westford, MA 01886. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made in her memory to the GIST Cancer Research Fund https://gistinfo.org/gist-donate/.
