Katherine Alice Fellows

Katherine Alice was born on April 21, 1942, in Winthrop, Massachusetts to James P., Sr. and Katherine A. (McElman) Wilson. She was a longtime resident of Westford, Massachusetts. Recently of North Chelmsford she passed away after valiant battle with a lengthy illness at The Residence at Freeman Lake on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, surrounded by loving family. She was married on May 7, 1966, to the late William P. Fellows.

She moved from East Boston to Littleton in 1947. She attended the Littleton school system and graduated in 1960. Upon graduation she attended Pierce Secretarial School and graduated in 1962. She then joined AVCO in Waltham and Wilmington from 1962-1965. In 1965 she joined MIT Lincoln Laboratory as a secretary and retired in May 2015 after 50 years as a Staff Business Manager. 

In her early childhood she participated in the Brownies, Girl Scouts, and the 4H sewing club. In her teenage years she worked as a babysitter and part-time meat wrapper at Donelans Supermarket.

After her marriage, she joined with her husband the NEMAC Auto Club and was treasurer for 40 years. In her spare time, she knitted Christmas stockings for family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, puzzles, and doing paint by numbers on her iPad. Also, spent time going to her grandchildren’s sporting events. After retirement she spent time volunteering at her grandchildren’s elementary schools.

 She is survived by her son Eric W. and his wife Jessica L. (Turner) and their children Morgan J. and Pierce E. Fellows of Townsend, Massachusetts. Mark W. and his wife Aimee M. (Claar) and their children William R. and Whitney R. Fellows of Westford, Massachusetts. Her niece and goddaughter Katherine A. Powers, M.D. and her children Andrew E. and his wife Jeannine and their son Jamie; Brooke E. and her son Aiden; Amy N.; Cole A.; and goddaughter Jill A. Powers. Her niece Denise M. Hill and her husband Christopher and their family. Nephews James P. Wilson, III and Joseph A. Wilson and family. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Ginger Wilson, Sandra Gladu, and Joan Fellows. Her brother George R. Wilson. She was predeceased by her late brother, James P. Wilson—also, many other family and friends.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Katherine during visiting hours on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton, MA. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 16, at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 107 N Main St., Westford, MA. Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton.
