Katherine "Kay" Caroline Kimball passed away peacefully at 90 years young on September 30th, 2021. She joins her late husband, Stanley M. Kimball preceding her in 2014.
Born March 28, 1931 in Athol, MA the youngest daughter of William A. Wilkey and Sybil (Hallin) Wilkey. A graduate of Littleton High School, Kay worked at the Union National Bank, where she met two of her life long friends, Theresa and Marion.
Kay was an active member of the Littleton Baptist Church where she met and married the love of her life, Stanley M. Kimball. Residing in Westford on the Kimball Farm property, they soon started their family. A devoted and loyal wife and mother of Michael, Peter and Laurie, Kay also delved into the family ice cream business. Always there with fresh baked goods for "coffee breaks." Kay was known for the best homemade apple pies and hearty homemade meals.
In her free time, she learned to play golf and joined the Kimball Farm Ladies Golf League. Enjoying time with her very close friends, Sally Anne and Theresa.
In her later years, Kay enjoyed sunny days playing mini golf, and could be seen playing at the pitch and putt, or practicing her swing at the driving range. She loved
visiting the Country Store and would always welcome guests to her table.
Family was paramount in Kay's life. She is survived by her three children, Michael S. Kimball of Longboat Key, FL. Peter J. Kimball and his wife, Lucy of Carlisle, MA. Laurie N. Kimball and her husband Steven R. Jones of Hancock NH. Two sister in laws and their spouses, Barbara and John Holmer of Littleton MA and Beverly and Richard Lamburn of Westford MA. Three grandchildren, Andrew D. Guislin of Antrim, Errol K. Hall and his wife Noel of Richmond ME, and Bradley J. Kimball of Carlisle MA. Six great grandchildren, Matthew, Colton and Mason Guislin of Antrim NH. Nolan, Marlee and Amry Small of Richmond Maine.
The family would like to acknowledge the kind and respectful extended "Kimball Farm Family", who have showed such warmth and compassion to Kay over the years.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held 11:30 am October 8, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery in Westford. A celebration of life will follow at Kimball Farm from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
