Kathleen "Kathy" Marie (Brooking) Boyson

Kathleen "Kathy" Marie (Brooking) Boyson age 64 of Groton, formerly of Westford, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Westford House surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late James M. Boyson.

Kathy was born on March 18, 1954 in Medford, a daughter of the late Marvin and Mary (McCarthy) Brooking. Raised and educated in Chelmsford, Kathy graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1972. She went on to attend Hesser College earning her associate's degree in accounting and worked as a bookkeeper for many years. Kathy was a proud and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed many years caring for her two grandchildren.

Family was the center of Kathy's life. She was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughter Amie Arsenault and her significant other, Eric Burba of Pepperell, her grandchildren, Jarrett and Kylie Arsenault of Pepperell, her siblings, Michael Brooking and his wife Nancy of Methuen, Karen Touma and her husband Michael of Hudson, NH, Teresa Harrison and her husband Xavier of Groton, Mary Anne Andrews of Haverhill, Robert Brooking of Nashua, NH, and Lisa Brooking and her husband Michael Umbach of Gresham, OR, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Kathy was predeceased by her sister Patricia Anne Brooking.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Kathy on Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School Street, Groton. Her funeral service will take place on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. A burial following the service will take place at Groton Cemetery, 242 Hollis Street, Groton.
