Kathleen J. Sullivan

Kathleen J. (Kathy) Sullivan 68, of Fitchburg, MA, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain.

Born June 18, 1954 in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Donald William Sullivan and Marcella J. Hurley Sullivan (both of Westfield, MA). She is survived by her sister Ann Marie Rubin, brother-in-law Edward A. Rubin (both of Harvard, MA) and nieces Kailee Rubin (husband Thor Laack-Veeder) of Golden, CO and Samantha LeVan (husband Craig) of Rochester, MN and grandnieces Penelope and Kira LeVan. She was preceded in death by a grandnephew.

Kathy enjoyed spending time with family and collecting Barbie dolls. Holidays were a favorite of Kathy’s, especially enjoying a delicious meal at Thanksgiving or opening presents on Christmas morning. Kathy was loved and cared for in her group home by many wonderful and dedicated people at Aspire Living & Learning.

 The family greatly appreciates Program Manager, Marilyn Nyanyo, who was a dedicated and loving support for Kathy and her family during this illness.

Friends and family will gather to honor and remember Kathleen at her graveside service, which will be held privately at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westfield.
