Loretta (Butler) Lewis, 83, of Littleton, died on September 8, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Cambridge, MA on July 17, 1930 daughter of the late Stephen and Lily (Evans) Butler. She grew up in Cambridge and was a graduate of Cambridge Latin High School. She was married March 12, 1951 to Lester Lewis and the made their home in Cambridge before moving to Littleton in 1960. Loretta worked for several years in the Town of Littleton Treasurer's Office during the 1970's.
She was a member of the Littleton Congregational Church where she sang in the choir. She was also a piano teacher and loved raising her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband Lester Lewis and by her children Stephen and his wife Carol Lewis of Willowbrook, IL. Laurie Lewis of Shirley, MA Diane and her husband Larry Dupre of Windsor, VT and Sandra and her husband Timothy Crory of Townsend, MA, a sister Elizabeth "Betty" Roche of Bristol CT. , 11 grandchildren Lisa Lewis, Amy Hall, Aaron Lewis, Stacy Lewis, Michael Lewis, Adam Lewis, Robert Dupre, Kathleen Dupre, Timothy Crory Jr., William Crory and Daniel Crory. She is also survived by 5 Great Grandchildren Victoria Hall, Abigail Lewis, Jesslyn Long, Elena Lewis, and Alexander Lewis
A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Littleton Congregational Church, 330 King St. Littleton, MA on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 11 am- 3 pm, For Those who wish contributions may be made to Loaves and Fishes, P.O. Box 1 , Ayer, MA 01432
