Loretta M Prehl, long time resident of Littleton MA passed away at the age of 82 on February 4, 2016. Loretta is survived by two sons, Eric Prehl, his wife Kim and daughter Ashlyn of Shirley MA and Chris Prehl, his wife Kim and children Krista and Cory of Ayer MA. Loretta also leaves behind her beloved sister, Mary Christiansen of Newbury NH as well as a large number of nieces & nephews and their families. Loretta has gone in peace to join her husband Albert E Prehl Jr., her parents William and Jennie Crory and her brothers Frederick Crory, William D Crory Jr. and Arthur D Crory. Loretta grew up on the Cobb Farm in Littleton MA, graduated from Littleton High School in 1952 and went on to graduate from Burdett College. Loretta’s early career was a fashion buyer for Shopper’s World in Natick MA. After getting married and raising her boys, she returned to school. After attending both Middlesex Community College and Framingham State College, Loretta pursued a career in social work. Loretta was a clinician for the Archdiocese at Life Resources / Alpha Omega of Littleton MA for 28 years until she retired. During Loretta’s tenure, she guided and brought hope to troubled young residents. Loretta loved to travel, shop and spend time with the family. Loretta was the definition of a lady, a kind and gentle woman, a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. Please join us for visiting hours on Wednesday February 10th from 4 to 7pm at Badger Funeral Home in Littleton MA and her funeral service on Thursday February 11th at 10am at St. Anne’s Church in Littleton followed by her burial at Westlawn Cemetery in Littleton.
