Louise (Herbert) Naylor, 84, of Townsend, formerly of Groton, died on February 18, 2014 at Apple Valley Center in Ayer. She was born in Groton on October 22, 1929 . She grew up in Groton, and was a graduate of Groton High School, Class of 1947. She was married in 1955 to Edwin Naylor Jr who died in 2012. She worked at the Hartnett Tannery in Ayer , a Nurse's Aide and Nashoba Hospital, as a receptionist in the Emergency Room at Nashoba Hospital and then a s a receptionist at North Middlesex Bank in Ayer.
Louise was a member of the Professional Women's Club of Ayer and enjoyed quilting, sewing, and making her own clothing.
She is survived by her sons Thomas R. Foster of Plainville, Edwin Naylor III, if Townsend, a daughter Lynne Foster of Trenton, NJ, a brother Harold Herbert of Nevada, a sister Carol Chalmers, of West Groton, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late William Naylor who died in 1978.
