Mable E. Hanson, 100, of Shirley, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Ayer Valley Nursing Home, surrounded by two loving nurses. Born in Little Falls, Minnesota, on February 8, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Mike and Ellen (Maganson) Gronka. She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Howard Hanson.

Mable worked many years at George Frost Company in Shirley as well as Fort Devens as a seamstress. Her husband Howard was retired from the Army in Fort Devens. Upon Howard's retirement, he moved trailer homes to different parts of the country, and Mable would go along with him. During this time, she could see different parts of the United States. She loved going with her husband on these trips and enjoyed staying in the truck where they had a sleeper bed.

She is survived by her two loving daughters, Paulette Holbein of Shirley and Judith Gifford of Merrimack, NH. She was predeceased by her son, Bruce Hanson, and her four sisters. Mable is also survived by her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate Mables life on Tuesday June 18, 2024 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St, Littleton, MA. Burial will follow at Village Cemetery, Harvard Rd. in Shirley, MA.
