On Friday, May 21, 2021, Man Joung Kim passed away at Lowell General Hospital, peacefully with his son Mike by his side. He is survived by his wife Yonja, son Mike, daughter Hanna, daughter-in-law Hyunjoo, and grand daughters Janice, Kelly, and Grace.
Man Joung was born in Seoul, Korea on February 10th, 1934. After retiring from his job as a bank executive, he immigrated to Brisbane, Australia with his family in 1990. While enjoying his retirement life, he also worked part time for Australian government agency as an interpreter (Korean, English, and Japanese) to help Asian immigrants settle there. Man Joung moved to the U.S. in 2008 and spent the rest of his time with his children and grandchildren here in Boston area.
Man Joung was a special man. He was the best father and husband, who loved hamburgers and fries. There must be McDonalds in heaven. Enjoy Dad!
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Man Joung from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday May 25, 2021 in the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton. His funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Interment in West Parish Cemetery, Andover will be private.
