Manuel (Bud) Medeiros, of Littleton MA, started his new life in the Kingdom of God February 5, 2026, age 90.
Born in Boston, MA, December 7, 1935, lived a devout Catholic life, active in Christian service as Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Usher, Confirmation Instructor, Adult Initiation Instructor, Holy Name member and Church Folk Choir member.
Retired from the U.S. Department of Transportation in 1992 after 33 years of varied government service with the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, NASA, and DOT Volpe Transportation system Center. A graduate of MIT with a BS in Aeronautical and Astronautics, his career spanned the technologies of rocket hardware design, computer automation and Air Traffic Management Display Systems. He received numerous awards highlighted by the Department of Transportation’s “Silver Medal” for “Outstanding Leadership and Technical Contributions to the development of the FAS’s Air Traffic Situation Display System “ (1987) and the FAA Administrator’s “Exemplary Achievement Award”(1991). Veteran of 4 years as an Officer in the U.S. Air Force, honorably discharged in 1962. His hobbies included painting, private pilot lessons, and ballroom dancing.
Beloved husband of Marie (Natale) Medeiros for 68 years. Loving father of Beth Medeiros, Laura (Medeiros) and Gerard Young, and Steven and Barri-Lynn Medeiros. Caring grandfather of Christina (Young) deAgonia, Matthew Young, Michael Medeiros and Zachary Medeiros. Great Grandfather of Gabriel, Olivia, Alexander, Skylar, and Wren. Older brother of Richard Medeiros and Carolyn Dulong.

Family and friends will gather for a brief visitation on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 8:30am to 9:00am at Blessed Trinity Parish - St Anne Church, located at 75 King Street, Littleton, Massachusetts, 01460. A Funeral Mass will be held in Manuel's honor following visitation at 9:00am. After the Funeral Mass, Burial and Military Honors will take place at Westlawn Cemetery, located at 7 New Estate Road, Littleton, Massachusetts, 01460.
