Marcel A. Gervais

Marcel A. Gervais, 57 of Groton died in the home he loved on February 10, 2014. He was born in Woonsocket, RI on April 4, 1956 son of Yvette (Harpin) Gervais and the late Roland Gervais. He grew up in Woonsocket and was a graduate of Lincoln High School and Johnson and Wales Culinary Arts Program. For ten years he worked in the food service industry before pursing his passion of carpentry. Marcel became a finished carpenter for Thoughtforms Corp of West Acton where he worked for the last twenty years. His proudest accomplishment can be seen in his home in Groton where his house became the ultimate expression of his creativity and talent.
When not working on his house, Marcel could be seen on his Checkmate boat, waterskiing, or watching the sunset at the "Fugowie Rock". On land, he could be found in his garden or cruising around on his BMW bike. He married the love of his life, Linda Gray in March of 2001.
Along with his wife Linda, he is survived by his mother Yvette Gervais of Rhode Island, two sisters, Rachel Boisvert of Greenville, RI, and Diane Hall of Brooklyn, CT, a brother Donald Gervais of Florien, LA., his beloved dog, Andre and Many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held at Badger Funeral Home, 45 School Street, Groton on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Catherine's Church, North Street, and Westford on Saturday February 15, 2014 a 10 am.
