Margaret Rita Bertozzi

Margaret Rita (Morse) Bertozzi, 77, of Cataumet, MA, formerly of West Groton, passed away on December 7, 2013 at New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital in New Bedford. She was born in Ayer, MA on July 11, 1936, daughter of the late Carroll and Margaret (Mansfield) Morse.

Rita, as she was known by everyone, graduated from Cape Cod Community College with a degree in Nursing in 1990. She worked in various nursing homes until her retirement in 2007 from Cape Cod Nursing Home. After her retirement she devoted her time to travel and knitting.

She is survived by two sisters. Pat Heath of Cataumet. MA, and Carole Bradley of Myrtle Beach, SC, and a brother, Michael Morse of Falmouth, MA. She is also survived by her nine children, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was also the sister of the late Edward Morse, George Morse, and John Morse.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School St, Groton, MA, on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony Church, Phoenix St., Shirley, MA on Friday at 10 am. Burial at Center Cemetery, Shirley. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude's for Children Research.
