Margaret Carey Holdsworth (Peggy), 81, died on July 13, 2022 at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 4, 1941 in Bristol, CT, daughter of Harry W. and Margaret E. (Culliton) Holdsworth. Peggy was a graduate of Bristol High School. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Regis College in 1963 and a MEd from Central Connecticut State University and a MED from Lesley University.
Peggy has resided in Littleton, MA since 2001 and previously resided in Arlington, MA. She was a devout Catholic and an active member of Blessed Trinity Parish (St. Anne’s Church) in Littleton. Before retiring in 2001, Peggy was an elementary school teacher in Westwood, MA for thirty-four years.
Peggy is survived by her brother, William K. Holdsworth and his wife, Hope of West Covina, CA; her sister-in-law, Justine G. Holdsworth of Belchertown, MA her beloved nieces and nephews Laura Holdsworth of Heath, MA, Heather Clarke and her husband Peter of Kirkland, WA, Michael Holdsworth of Richmond, RI, John Gordon and his wife Autumn of Northampton, MA, Mother Maria Mater Consecrata Holdsworth, SSVM of New Bedford, MA, Commander Jeffrey Holdsworth and his wife, Trisha Ventura of Chesapeake, VA, Chris Holdsworth of Washington DC, and her loving great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and two sisters, Marion Harrigan of Virginia Beach, VA and Virginia Powers of Montrose, PA and her brother John C. Holdsworth of Belchertown, MA.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Peggy for a period of visitation on Wednesday July 20, 2022 from 4:00PM until 6:00PM at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 21, 2022 at 10:00AM at Blessed Trinity Parish - St. Anne's Church, 75 King Street, Littleton, MA. Interment in South Cemetery, Belchertown, MA will be held on Monday July 25, 2022 at 10:00AM.
