Margaret Elizabeth Shute, 63 and longtime Ayer resident, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2020 at the Care Dimensions Hospice in Lincoln. She was the loving mother of Amber Shute.
Margaret was born on June 1, 1956, a daughter to the late Ernest C. and Mildred R. (Combs) Shute. She attended Westford Academy and graduated with the class of 1974. She was employed for 37 years as budget analyst for the US Army on Devens.
Margaret loved beach trips, going down to the lake, and making bracelets. She was always lending a helping hand whether for church, family, friend, or someone she just met. She had a passion for leggings, Tinkerbell, dragonflies, and anything purple. Her family and friends were very special to her and her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend; A truly beautiful soul that will be deeply missed.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Margaret for a period of visitation from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 23, 2020 in the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 24, 2020 in the Ayer Federated Church, 21 Washington Street, Ayer. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ayer.
