Littleton
Maria (Malfatto) Gerbi, citizen of Ayer, formerly of Littleton died at her home on January 31, 2015. She was born in Cassinasco, Italy on February 1, 1931, daughter of the late Emilio and Elvira (Massini) Malfatto and was the wife of the late John Gerbi of Littleton. She grew up in Italy and worked at Riccadonna Vermouth Company in Canelli, Italy and met John Gerbi in 1959. They were soon married and moved to Littleton. She worked as an Electronics Technical Supervisor for Whistler Corp., Hybricon, and several other electronics companies in the area. She and John retired to Cape Cod in 1994 until he died in 2007. She then moved back to the Littleton area.
She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Littleton and loved reading, walking, and cooking.
Maria is survived by a son, Paul Gerbi of Malden, MA, a daughter, Angela Krehan of Germany, a sister, Yolanda Malfatto Alaria of Italy and 3 grandchildren, David, Andreas, and Johannes Krehan of Germany.
A Mass and Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 75 King Street, Littleton on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 10 a.m. Burial at Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Judes Hospital at www.stjude.org,
