Marilyn Jane Kelley, 82, of Pepperell, Massachusetts died from complications of multiple illnesses on February 29, 2016, at Palm Center Health Care Facility.
Marilyn held a position as a legal secretary before she married in 1957 . She was privileged to be a wife and mother, supporting them in their many adventures. She volunteered as a Little League mom; as well as a reporter for the Times Free Press. She took joy in day trips throughout New England for many years; her favorite place being Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine. Later in life she suffered from many health issues that kept her close to home. She was a woman that treasured family, and her close friends. She was a lifelong fan of New England sports teams (Tom Brady), avid reader, and working through puzzle books.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Ruth (Patterson) White, and grandson Sean Wellington. She is survived by husband William (Bill) Kelley of Pepperell, MA, her daughter Patricia (Dave) Wellington of Mercer, ME, and three sons, Bill Kelley of Nashua, NH, Chuck (Kim) Kelley of Tyler, TX, and Michael (Kathea) Kelley of Pepperell, MA, as well as her sister, Marcia White of Pepperell, MA. She was adored by her six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
An intimate graveside service will be held for family and close friends on Monday, March 7th at 10 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pepperell. Please make a contribution to your favorite charity in honor of her memory.
