Marion Elizabeth Evans, 83, of Still River, MA died Friday, December 19, 2014 at Westborough Health Care Center, Westborough, MA due to complications from Alzheimer's disease.

Born on July 6, 1931 in Concord, MA to Ellen Munsen Feltus and William Raymond Feltus, Marion was raised in Harvard, MA and graduated from the Bromfield School. As a young woman, Marion owned several horses at her home on Depot Road in Harvard, where she gave horse riding lessons. Marion earned her college degree in bookkeeping from Becker Junior College in Worcester, MA. Upon graduation, she worked for Feltus Pontiac, her father's dealership in Ayer, MA. There she met her future husband, Gordon (Bud) Evans, who was working for the dealership at the time. Marion went on to perform bookkeeping services for the Town of Harvard, Bob's Turkey Farm in Lancaster, MA and for her husband's excavating business. In 1979, Marion began what would become a 30 year career with Westborough Toyota and Dodge as Office Manager.

In 1970, Bud and Marion started Evans Farm in Still River, MA which was her great love. Working side by side, Marion, Bud, and her children, Kim and Scott farmed their property and ran a vegetable stand. In later years, they opened a pick-your-own pumpkin business which included the sale of autumn vegetables, sunflowers, raspberries, corn, squash and more.

Marion will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family, connection with the land, her passion for horses and especially for her deep affection for the dogs that she owned throughout her lifetime.

Marion is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gordon (Bud) Evans; brother William Feltus of Lyndonville, VT; sister-in-law Judy Feltus of Harvard, MA (wife of Marion's brother, the late Allen Feltus); daughter Kim Becker of Ayer, MA and her husband Doug; son Scott Evans of Harvard, MA and his wife Allison; and her five grandchildren Rick, Ellie, Nicholas, Gwyneth and Wyatt.
