Marjorie B. MacMelville

August 19, 1922 — July 31, 2015

Marjorie B. MacMelville, age 92, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at home at Nashoba Park in Ayer on July 31, 2015 after a brief battle with cancer. She was the widow of the late Arthur A. MacMelville with whom she was married for 52 years. Survived by four children, Judith Hamje of Oak Park, IL, Jayne Fuller and her husband Thomas of Concord, NH, Paul MacMelville and his wife Patsy of E. Tawas, MI, Carol Bryant and her husband Carl of Littleton, MA; seven grandchildren, Deb Gagnon of NH, Scott Fuller of NY, Randall Hess of IL, Chris MacArthur of NH, Meg Kajewski of VA, David MacMelville of VA, and Kevin Bryant of MA; eleven great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Catherine Knudsen of South Freeport, ME.

Marjorie was an active member of the Littleton Congregational Church for many years, co-founder of the weekly Neighborhood Supper, which has spread to other churches in the community of Littleton. She also served a number of terms as co-collector at the church.

She loved to travel, swimming with her swim group, doing crafts and spending time with her extended family and many friends.

A memorial service will be celebrated on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. Due to the reconstruction at the Littleton Congregational Church, the service will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church at 75 King Street in Littleton. A reception at the church will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Congregational Church of Littleton at 330 King Street, Littleton, MA 01460.designated for the Neighborhood Supper.
