Mark David Chapman

Mark David Chapman passed away on September 20, 2026, in Groton, MA. Born in Salem, Massachusetts, on October 23, 1978, Mark was a person of extraordinary spirit and courage.

Raised in Groton, MA. Mark defied any limitations that life attempted to impose on him. Mark was 47 years old and lived in Groton for 46 years at the 7 Hills Pediatric Nursing Center. The caregivers at 7 Hills were and are beyond caring and competent! They loved Mark, and he loved them. Despite never being formally employed, except for being cute, he found fulfillment in the beauty of the world around him, cherishing the simple joys of life. Mark was a beacon of warmth, love, and resilience, and his unique perspective served as a source of inspiration for everyone who had the fortune of knowing him. His unwavering cuteness and sweetness were his legacy, leaving an indelible Mark on all those he encountered.

Mark is survived by his loving father, Kenneth Chapman; his loving mother, Nadine Currier; and his sister, Jenifer McCarthy, and her three daughters, Chelsea, Julia, and Jenifer J. He was preceded in death by his dear older brother, Michael Chapman. The lives of his family were touched by his enduring spirit, and his memory will forever be woven into the fabric of their lives.

Above all, Mark will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and caretakers, who will carry his memory in their hearts and cherish the wonderful memories they have shared together.

Mark was a loving soul. He was an expert at cuteness !! He was also an expert at laughter :D He loved hugs and loved to hug. He was a sweet boy.

Family and friends will gather to honor Mark during a visitation on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM. The funeral will be private, but he will be buried in Lynn, MA, with his brother and his grandfather, his mom’s dad.
