Mary Ellen Gosby

Mary Ellen (Flannery) Gosby, 86 of Littleton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Mary was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on November 26, 1936, and educated in Cambridge schools. She was the daughter of the late Michael J. and Mary A. (Ruiz) Flannery. She was the beloved wife of the late Alvie C. Gosby (Cambridge PD). 

Mrs. Gosby was a retired secretary from Fenton Shoe in Cambridge, MA. Mrs. Gosby was a choir member of both St. Peter’s Church in Cambridge and later St. Anne’s Church in Littleton. After moving to Littleton, Mrs. Gosby volunteered with St. Anne’s Church, was a member of the Littleton Cemetery Commission, and volunteered at the Littleton Council of Aging. 

She is survived by her three children, Patricia A. of Alexandria, VA; Stephen C. of Leominster, MA; and Dennis M. (Jane) of Holbrook, MA. She is also survived by her six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. 

Family and friends are invited to visitation hours from 4:00-6:00 P.M. on Monday, November 27, 2023, at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton, MA. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton, MA. The interment will follow the funeral service at Westlawn Cemetery, 7 New Estate Rd., Littleton, MA.
