With profound admiration and heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of Mary Johnston, born December 9, 1928, in Littleton, MA. Mary was a compassionate woman whose love and support touched countless lives. Her humble spirit made her a beacon of warmth and kindness to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Mary was born and raised in Littleton, graduating from Littleton High School in 1947. Mary was a dedicated secretary in the field of education before her retirement. She was much more than her profession; she was a loving mother, a caring sister, and a pillar of support for many. Her hobbies included playing cards and scrapbooking, activities that expressed her creativity, her strategic thinking, and her love of preserving memories. She found solace in visiting Sanford, Maine, and cherished moments spent dining out with her cousins. One of Mary’s greatest joys was found in family gatherings and spending time with her close friends. True to her loving nature, what mattered most to Mary was her family. Her love for them was evident in every aspect of her life.
Mary will be forever remembered by her son, Richard Jr. and his wife Patricia, along with her five grandchildren, Christopher Johnston and his wife Rachella, Kerianne Sherwood and her husband Joshua, Ryan Johnston and his wife Danica, Ashley Parks and her husband David, Steven Wright and his wife Susan, and daughter in-law Martha Johnston. Mary was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren, Cole, Owen, Tia, Connor, Charlie, Grady, Quinn, Maya and Kinsley. She now joins her father, Nicholas Pacy, her mother, Irene Pacy, her beloved husband, Richard Johnston Sr., her son, Gary Johnston, her sister Jean, and her sister Barbara, who passed away just two days after Mary on October 10, 2026, in eternal peace.
Mary's life will be honored with a visitation on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 9:00am until 11:00am at Badger Funeral Homes Inc, 347 King Street, Littleton, Massachusetts. The funeral service will follow at 11:00am at the same venue. Mary will be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery, 7 New Estate Road, Littleton, Massachusetts, on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 12:15pm.
Mary's life was a testament to the power of love, compassion, and humility. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us.
