Mary-Phylis Post, formerly of Wyckoff, NJ, and Sudbury, MA, wife of the late Robert Zimmerman Post, passed away on September 29th, 2019 at 90 years old, at home in Methuen, MA, surrounded by her children. She was the first born daughter of Philip and Martha Calcutt of Dover, NH.
Mary-Phylis grew up in Dover and was a member of the Dover Girl Scouts Drum and Bugle Corp. She was graduated from Lesley College in Cambridge, MA, and taught kindergarten at the Sherborn School in Portsmouth, NH. In 1951 she married Robert Z. Post. They were married for 50 years, and she went on to raise five children. After raising her children, Mary-Phylis returned to work in the retail clothing business, and then went on to be an Inventory Control Analyst at Digital Equipment Corporation, Inc. She loved flowers, passionately enjoyed creating needlepoint, keeping up with politics, and watching the Red Sox.
She is survived by her children Sheryl and her husband Jim, Michael and his wife Ellen, Susan, Christopher, Stephanie and her husband Jeff, and grandchildren Laura, Jocelyn, Michael Jr., Matt, Carly, and Marcus. She is also survived by her brother Jack, and sisters Connie and Sheila.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date and time.
