Maryellen Salines

January 11, 1951 — October 9, 2025

Groton, Massachusetts

We gather to celebrate the vibrant life of Maryellen Salines, the kindest, most loving and strongest person, who passed away on October 9, 2025. Maryellen was born on January 11, 1951, in Malden, MA, lived in Windham, NH and spent the past 8 years of her life in Groton, Massachusetts. Her zest and love of life was contagious; she lived with an inspiring spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to meet her.

Maryellen served as a Health Care Contractor, with an unwavering commitment and grace to her profession. Upon her retirement, she seamlessly transitioned her nurturing spirit towards her family and hobbies. Maryellen, the quintessential fashionista, loved interior design, playing card games, cooking, hosting parties and had an undeniable soft spot for heels. Nothing delighted her more than going on cruises with her loving husband, John Salines; these journeys were more than trips—they were a testament to their beautiful, abiding love.

Central to Maryellen's heart was her family. Her love was boundless, especially for her five adored grandchildren, who were her pride and joy- Hannah, Ashley, Bella, Allie and Ben. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Brooks of Pepperell, MA, Shannon Paul and her husband, Joshua Paul of Groton, MA, Darlene Salines of Billerica, MA and her son, Jay Salines and his wife, Wendy Salines of Texas. She is survived by her sister, Bobbi Zinck and brother-in-law Eddie Zinck of Revere, MA, as well as many nieces and nephews. Maryellen was preceded in death by her late parents, John and Helen Boyle, as well as her great aunt and uncle who raised her, Marguerite and Bernard McLaughlin, her brother, Patrick Boyle, her sister, Kathleen Lacasse and her brother-in-law, Gerard Lacasse and her beloved nephew, Stephen Zinck.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Badger Groton Funeral Home, 45 School Street, Groton, Massachusetts, 01450. A prayer service will follow at 1:00 PM at the same venue. Family and friends are invited to the Groton Country Club immediately following the service to celebrate Maryellen's life.

Maryellen's life was a tapestry of love, courage, and inspiration. She was always a beacon of resilience and determination in everything she did. As we remember her, we encourage everyone to share memories and upload photos of Maryellen on her memorial page. This will help keep her spirit alive in our hearts, and continue to inspire us, just as she did throughout her life.
