Melissa Kathleen Larson

Melissa Larson of Bolton Massachusetts died peacefully, after a brief illness, on July 15th 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Melissa was born on March 9th, 1979 in Norwalk, Connecticut and grew up in Harvard Massachusetts before she later moved to Bolton Massachusetts. Melissa is survived by the love of her life, Bruce “Brig” Currie of Bolton, Massachusetts, her parents, Noel Larson of Leominster, Massachusetts, Roland Larson of Boylston, Massachusetts, brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Cristin Larson of Warwick, Rhode Island, her sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Tim Cox, her niece Addison Cox, and her 2 nephews, Aidan and Broden Cox, all of Northwood, New Hampshire.  Melissa is also survived by the entire Currie family and the many friends and children she cared for and loved deeply. Melissa graduated from Bromfield High School in Harvard, Massachusetts, Mount Wachusett Community College, and Fitchburg State College where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Melissa had a true gift with children, she loved caring and spending time with them, she was often called the “child whisperer”. Burial will be private but A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 6:00pm at Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, Massachusetts, all family, friends and especially children are welcome to attend.
