Michael J. Andrews

Michael J. Andrews, age 70 and a longtime Westford resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday morning, May 23, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Joanne (Giamo) Andrews.

Michael was born in Brooklyn, New York, on July 15, 1948, the son of the late Felix and Doris (Hodgens) Andrews. He attended St. John's Prep in New York and Conestoga High School in Pennsylvania and later earned his bachelor's degree in business from Temple University, graduating summa cum laude. Michael and Joanne were married on October 2, 1971, and began their love story that would span 47 years. Michael worked for many years as a Vice President for Travelers Insurance, which saw the couple relocate several times. Michael and Joanne eventually settled in Westford.

Michael enjoyed watching football and eating the wonderful Italian dishes prepared by Joanne. A consummate family man, he was known for his infectious smile and larger-than-life personality. He loved beyond measure and will be truly missed.

In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by his children; Steven and Karen Andrews and his grandson, Christopher Bedore. He is further survived by his close cousin, Stephen Andruskewicz and his wife, Gloria.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Michael on Thursday morning May 30, 2019, from 9 until 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish, 107 North Main St., Westford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the church at 10 a.m. Interment is private.
