Michael L. Forgues, 66, of Elkhart Indiana, formally of Lunenburg, MA, died Sunday, November 2. He was the father of Brent Forgues of Elkhart, Indiana, brother of Mark Forgues of Littleton, his wife, Lynn, brother of Michele Forgues of Lunenburg, brother of Melinda Forgues Kelly of Maryland, former husband of Sharon Clement Forgues of Elkhart, Indiana. He was the son of Florence and Louis Forgues of Lunenburg, who predeceased him. He is survived by one nephew and two nieces. Michael earned a BS degree in Medical Technology from Fitchburg State College and an Executive MBA from Notre Dame. He worked as a medical technologist at Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg and US public Health Service Hospital in Boston. He was a product manager for Zimmer in the orthopedic implant division. He held positions at Bayer, (AG/Miles Laboratories) in training and marketing, Barnes and Noble, and Inova Federal Credit Union. He was a member of the Oslo Township Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Service. He was a member of the YMCA Running Club. He was an avid runner and ran many races, including marathons. His son, Brent, "followed in his footsteps" and ran the Great Wall Marathon in China. Michael was lovingly cared for by the wonderful people of Benchmark Senior Living at Robbins Brook in Acton, MA, Parmenter Hospice of Wayland and Georgia's Girls. A memorial service was held at Benchmark Senior Living at Robbins Brook for those who cared for him. A private memorial service will be held at a later date for immediate family.
