Nellie R. (Ross) Metcalf

Nellie R. (Ross) Metcalf age 80 and long-time Pepperell resident passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 63 years to Melvyn E. "Mel" Metcalf.
Nellie Ruth Ross was born in Huntington, West Virginia on January 10, 1941 a daughter to the late Virgil and Mollie (Martin) Ross. Raised in West Virginia she met and married Mel and soon settled in Pepperell, Massachusetts.
Nellie was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Along with being a homemaker she worked for many years for several retail stores throughout the area. She also enjoyed doing crafts and playing with her dog Princess.
In addition to her husband Mel, she is survived by her children, Cheryl A. Metcalf of Pepperell MA., Melvyn E. Metcalf II and his wife Faith of Hawaii, Cynthia K. Tuttle and husband John of Ayer, MA and Brian K. Metcalf of Templeton, MA, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one great-granddaughter.
