Nicholas Coyle Pickering, age 33, longtime resident of Littleton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 10th at Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer. He was the son of Andrew and Lillian (Coyle) Pickering.
Nicholas was born on August 13, 1987, in Concord, Massachusetts. Raised and educated in Littleton, Nick attended Littleton High School graduating in 2006. He went on to attend some college classes but eventually decided working with his hands and building would be his life-long career. Nick was a skilled carpenter for SN Construction in Littleton for 15 years.
An avid outdoorsman, Nick loved being on or by the water. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and his family camp in Rhode Island. He spent his free time playing the guitar, listening to music or outside enjoying endless rounds of disc golf with family and friends. A loving son, grandson, brother and friend, Nick will be deeply missed by everyone he knew.
Nick is survived by his parents, Andy and Lyn Pickering of Littleton, his siblings, Christopher Pickering of Littleton, Jonathan Pickering also of Littleton and his sister Mattie (Pickering) Manley and her husband Nicholas of Exeter, RI. He is also survived by his grandmother, Irene Pickering of Acton and grandfather David Coyle of Belmont and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Nick is predeceased by his Grandparents, Ronald Pickering of Acton and Mattie Coyle of Belmont. Last, but certainly not least, Nicholas is survived by Boo, the beloved family dog.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Nicholas for a period of visitation on Thursday, July 15th at 11:00 am until 12:00 pm in the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton. A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation at 12:00 pm in the funeral home.
