Patricia Ann Grennell

Accomplished figure skater, dedicated house wife

Grennell, of Groton, August 16, 2015 Patricia Ann (Staffon) Grennell, after brief illness. She was born in Cambridge, MA. March 16, 1934 daughter of the late Arthur H. and Dorothy P. (Jordan) Staffon. Patricia grew up in and around the Arlington, area, graduating high school in 1951. She later received a diploma from the Academie Moderne in Boston in 1953. She had been employed for a period at the National Lead Paint Company as a chemist before her marriage. Figure skating was a favorite activity and that carried on throughout her life, skating when and where she could, enjoying every moment of her ice time. Patricia married the late William Howard Grennell on December 24th 1958, moving to Marlbough briefly before settling down in Groton. A dedicated housewife she enjoyed the rural setting, taking time to plant and tend flower gardens and roses and always enjoyed a good crossword puzzle and later on even Sudoku. She is survived by her 2 daughters Wendy L. Grennell of Groton Terry L. Grennell of Dennis and her son William J, Grennell and his wife Misty of Westford one grandson David and her brother Peter Staffon of Dennis, MA. A small private ceremony will take place at the Cambridge Cemetery.
