Patrick Walsh Faucher Sr., 75, a lifelong resident of Fitchburg, MA, passed away on August 3, 2024.
Patrick is survived by his son, Michael E. Faucher and wife Melanie, grandson Ian and granddaughter Sophia; his daughter Patrice M. Chandler (Faucher) and husband Bob, granddaughter Sydni, grandson Tanner, and great-grandson Cayden; his son Patrick W. Faucher Jr. and partner Amy, and granddaughter Felicity; and his brother Michael J. Faucher and wife Donna, and nephews Eric and Scott; and numerous cousins and other extended family.
Patrick was born September 4, 1948, a son of the late Ivor and Barbara (Walsh) Faucher, and was raised in Fitchburg. He was a warm, caring, and patient father who took time to teach his kids technical skills and life lessons, with a twist of humor. His dedication to family and shared knowledge was also evident in his service to the public.
In Patrick’s early career days, he worked in Lunenburg, MA as a dispatcher, AREA-F for the ambulance service, and at GP4 before his appointment to the Fitchburg Fire Department on October 18, 1976. Nearly 27 years later, he retired on September 12, 2003, as a Lieutenant. Patrick was beloved by friends and fellow funny, professional, intelligent, and detail-oriented.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Patrick on Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton, MA.
