Peter J. Crawford

Peter J. Crawford Sr., 50, of Ayer, MA, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Leominster on December 2, 1967. He was the son of Maria (Daigle) Crawford and the late Gordon A. Crawford of New Brunswick, Canada.

Peter graduated from Leominster High School and worked many years as a steel worker for Simonds Industries in Fitchburg, MA. He was an avid bowler at Masons Bowling Center in Leominster where he participated in many local leagues. He found such joy in spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He also enjoyed reading a good book in his spare time. It didn't matter if it was rain or shine, you would catch Peter down at Lake Whalom in Lunenburg, fishing, something he loved doing as a young boy up until he was an adult with his own son. Peter Jr. has vowed to carry on the fishing tradition with his four children in memory of his father, their Grampy.

Along with his mother, Peter is survived by his son Peter J. Crawford Jr. and daughter-in-law, Molly Crawford of Pepperell, MA; grandsons, John, Troy and Kyngston Crawford; granddaughter Faith Braswell; his two brothers, Gordon Crawford of Washington, and Ola Crawford of Leominster, his sister Eveline Anderson (Crawford) of Leominster, his late sister Margaret Ashe (Crawford) of Worcester; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Tux.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Peter on Thursday, November 29th from 4-8pm at Classics Pub 285 Central Street, Leominster, MA. Any floral arrangement donations would be greatly appreciated for the private family service on Saturday, December 1st at Badger Funeral Home 347 King St., Littleton, MA.
