Polly Louise (Murphy) VanTassell, age 55 of Nashua, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Greenbriar Healthcare Facility after a long fight with Huntington's Disease. She was the loving wife of 18 years of David VanTassell.
Polly was born on May 12, 1964 in Waterbury, CT, a daughter to the late Romeyn and Susan (Santoro) Murphy. Raised and educated in Windham, NH, Polly lived her childhood to the fullest. She loved horses and spent much of her free time riding her bike 8 miles to the closest stables just to spend time with the animals. She also loved the beach and being outdoors. She enjoyed mountain climbing and never missed out on family trips to Mt. Monadnock and Mt. Moosilake. Polly attended Pinkerton Academy with her brother Romeyn and graduated in 1982.
After graduating, Polly met and maried David in the year 2000. David remained by her side through her difficult, 12 year battle with Huntington's disease. Polly's spirit and memory will live on in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her husband, Polly is survived by her daughters, Mandy Foster of Lake Wales, FL, Hannah Foster and her son Brayden of Palmetto, FL, her brother Romeyn Murphy and his wife Amy Lynne of Auburn, NH and her mother in law Gail VanTassell of Shirley. Polly is also survived by her niece Brandy and her nephew Alexander.
