Obituary

Priscilla Ann Flynn, 80, of Groton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on August 1, 2026, at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved and devoted wife of Michael F. Flynn.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on March 5, 1946, Priscilla was the daughter of the late John W. and Marie F. (Hurley) Kane. She was raised in West Roxbury, where she attended the Joyce Kilmer School before graduating from Fontbonne Academy.

Priscilla began her career at Lahey Clinic before settling in Groton, where she became a familiar and friendly face throughout the community. Over the years, she worked at Gilson Farms, Sargent Pharmacy, the Groton-Dunstable School District, and the Peter Twomey Youth Center. While she took great pride in her work, the role she treasured most was that of "Grammy." In her later years, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her grandchildren, whose lives brought her immeasurable joy and purpose.

Priscilla embraced life with warmth, kindness, and an infectious sense of fun. She formed many lifelong friendships in the Groton community and treasured spending time with friends at cookouts, cheering on local sporting events, snowmobiling, and enjoying countless girls' outings filled with laughter and lasting memories.

She also loved traveling and looked forward to her visits to Marshfield, Falmouth, and Wellfleet, where she found peace by the ocean. Family vacations to Quechee, Vermont, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, created treasured memories that she held close throughout her life.

A devoted animal lover, Priscilla had a special place in her heart for the many beloved pets who were part of her family over the years, including Otto, Rusty, Snowflake, Angelo, and Oreo. Her compassion extended to every animal she encountered, reflecting the gentle and caring spirit she shared with everyone around her.

Above all else, Priscilla's greatest joy was her family. She was a loving and devoted mother to Michael W. Flynn and his wife, Alison, of Chelmsford, and David A. Flynn and his wife, Christina, of Pepperell. She was an incredibly proud and loving grandmother to Owen, James, and Dante, who were the light of her life and brought her endless happiness.

She is also survived by her loving sister, Catherine Walsh and her husband, David. Priscilla and Catherine shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Priscilla was predeceased by her sisters, Carolyn Kane and Deborah Kane, as well as her parents, John and Marie Kane.

Priscilla will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering devotion to her family, and her ability to make everyone feel welcomed and loved. Her kindness, sense of humor, and genuine compassion touched countless lives, and her legacy will live on through the many people who were fortunate enough to know her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she enriched.
