Pu Cha (Kim) Lentz, age 81, of Groton, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love, on December 1, 2025, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She was the loving and devoted wife of Charles “Charlie” Lentz, with whom she shared an extraordinary 52 years of marriage.
Born on September 27, 1944, in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, Pu Cha was the daughter of the late Su Chu Lee and Pong Chun Kim. She completed her schooling in South Korea and began her career as a barber on a U.S. Army base, where she formed lifelong friendships and where she met Charlie, who was then serving on active duty in the U.S. Army.
In 1973, Pu Cha welcomed her daughter, Connie, in Seoul, South Korea. In 1976, the family moved to the United States when Charlie was transferred to Fort Devens in Ayer, Massachusetts, where their son, Charles K. Lentz, was born. Pu Cha traveled alongside Charlie throughout his military service, including a posting in Italy where they lived for four years. In 1982, they settled in Littleton, Massachusetts, creating a warm and loving home—a home her daughter still cherishes and lives in with her family, having acquired it from her parents in 2008.
Pu Cha later continued her professional life as a Manufacturing Technician at Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, retiring in 2001. In retirement, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family, friends, and her faith. She was deeply involved in her church community, sharing compassion, kindness, and love through her ministry and service to others.
An adventurous and joyful spirit, Pu Cha loved taking cruises and traveling in their motorhome with Charlie, exploring 43 states and 7 countries together. They also treasured their time at their homes in Zephyrhills, Florida, and in Canada. Pu Cha enjoyed bingo, cooking, gardening, playing cards, and bowling in a league. She especially loved sharing playful and tender moments with her beloved dog, Kimmy, and cherished every moment spent with her family. Her warmth, sweetness, and selflessness left an enduring impression on all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, Pu Cha is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Roy Ramirez; her cherished grandchildren, Chance and Alyssa Ramirez; her dearly loved sister, Jeasoon Kim, and brother-in-law, Chung Mo Kim; and her dearly loved nieces and nephews: Kum Lan Kim; Soo and Ray Belair; Calvin and Kate Belair and family; Hyo Jin Kim; Jung Rae Kang; Heechun Kang; Hea Won Kim; and Hyang Ran Yun and Jeong Seog Park and family. She is predeceased and reunited with her son, Charles K. Lentz, as well as her parents and her three elder siblings.
Pu Cha’s warmth, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
