Richard F. Chase, 93, lifelong resident of Pepperell, MA passed peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving family on December 14, 2018. He was the son of the late James and Hilda Frost Chase.
Richard was married 45 years to his beloved, predeceased wife Victoria T. Chase. He is survived and forever adored by his 3 children, Tammy Chase of North Andover, Tina Chase of Danvers and Timothy Chase of Pepperell, his 5 grandchildren, Kristin Puig, Vanessa Gurdjian, Michael Sciascia, Matthew Sciascia and Garrett Chase, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Richard was the youngest of 7 children. He was predeceased by his siblings, James Chase, William Chase, Charles (Goose) Chase, Arlene Bergeron, Ruth Blaney, and Esther (Dolly) Pineo, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Richard was a decorated World War II Veteran, a Navy Coxswain. He was drafted at age 18 and humbly served his country for 3 years.
In addition, Richard was a hard-working, talented painting contractor in the local community for 57 years. He continued to paint for close friends and family well into his 80’s. Richard loved what he did and did it with love.
Richard (Dick) will always be remembered as a dapper gentleman. He was an ace handicapper with perfectly groomed hair. More importantly, Dick was a strong, kind, generous man who will be forever cherished and missed by all who knew him.
There will be no calling hours. Relatives and Friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00am at Our Lady of Grace Parish, worshipping at St. Joseph Church, 28 Tarbell St, Pepperell on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, followed by burial in Pepperell Association Cemetery.
