Richard Frederick Jackson, fondly known as Dick to his friends and family, began his journey on this earth on May 17, 1950, in Concord, MA. His life was one filled with adventure, courage, loyalty, and love, which touched everyone who had the honor of knowing him. Richard passed on May 20, 2026, leaving a legacy of joy, strength, and resilience that will be cherished forever.

Richard was a proud Navy veteran, having served during the Vietnam War as a radarman on Navy ships including the USS Lester and USS William C Lawe. After the navy, Richard worked as a police officer in Acton, MA, before entering his career in electrical work. He joined and later owned Booth D. Jackson Electrical Contractors in Littleton, MA for many years. Richard also managed electrical operations for a solar energy company. Later in his career, he joined Porter and Chester Institute as an electrical instructor and supervisor and loved imparting the wisdom of his decades of experience upon his students.

Richard was a man of many passions—he loved golfing, fishing, and boating on Lake Winnipesaukee, where he vacationed growing up and later with his family. He was also an avid New England sports fan, cheering on his favorite local teams with unmatched enthusiasm. He loved aviation of all kinds, especially the Navy Blue Angels, and even took flying lessons. Richard recently found joy in gardening and nature and especially loved watching live cams of eagles and other wildlife.

Richard's loyalty and love shone brightest in his devotion to his family. Richard leaves his two children, Katherine Anne Jackson (and her husband Brad Milley) of Fort Collins, CO, and Eric Richard Jackson of Hudson, MA. He was married to Elizabeth (Bowker) Jackson for 26 years. He was a cherished brother to Steven, Mark, and Shirley, his bond with them unbreakable and full of fond memories. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Booth Jackson and Betty Eveland.

In honor of Richard, we encourage all to leave memories and upload photos to his memorial page. His life was a celebration of love, courage, and adventure, and we hope to continue celebrating him in our shared memories and stories.
