Rita T. Poulin, age 81, a longtime resident of Pepperell died February 23, 2015 at the Apple Valley Center in Ayer after a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving family. Rita was the wife of the late Robert A. Poulin who died in 1993.

She was born in Nashua, NH on June 3, 1933, the daughter of the late Armand and Rose (Pelletier) Lavoie. She was educated in the Nashua School System. While living in Nashua, she was employed at the Modern Restaurant. She later moved to Pepperell where she resided for over 40 years. She then worked at New England Business in Groton, Godin's Department Store in Pepperell, and Jean's Kitchen until her retirement. She was an active member of the Pepperell Senior Center and enjoyed her senior trips. She also was a member of the Senior Hot Shots. She appeared on the Ted Mack Amateur Hour where she played the keyboard, guitar and yodeled. She loved her cats and dogs.

She leaves a daughter, Madeleine T. Wisausky of Amherst, NH; 3 sons, Michael H. Poulin and his wife Carole of Merrimack, NH, Robert A. Poulin, Jr. of Ashburnham and Roger A. Poulin of Pepperell; a sister, Rose A. Shattuck and her husband Louis of Pepperell;9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by a sister, Irene Miner.

Relatives and friends may call at the MARCHAND FUNERAL HOME, 16 Pleasant Street, Pepperell, MA on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Parish, worshipping at St. Joseph Church, 28 Tarbell Street, Pepperell. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Pepperell.
