Robert Anders Johnson, formerly of Huntington Station, NY, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2023 in Littleton, MA at the age of 80 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Robert (Bob) was born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Margit (Ahlstrom) and Reiner Johnson. He is survived by his brother Allan and wife Judy of Huntington, NY and his sister Evelyn and husband Robert Burns of Acton, MA. He was the beloved uncle of Jeanne; Catherine and husband John; Rebecca and husband Mitch; Monika and husband Seth; and Erik; and great uncle to Lauren, John, Levi and Keeley. He is also survived by cousins in Pennsylvania and Sweden. Bob was predeceased by his sister, Ann, in 1982.

After graduating high school and attending college, Bob enlisted in the Air Force and served as an Electronic Communications and Cryptographic Equipment Systems repair technician at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota during the Vietnam War from 1962-1966. Following his honorable discharge, Bob worked in the electronics field for many years in the early days of the cable TV industry.

Bob had many hobbies and interests. He was a passionate Giants fan, a prolific reader, gardener, cook, and computer expert. He was a lover of nature and enjoyed sharing links of his favorite webcams, from animal Live Cams to the NASA Live Cam. He always looked forward to the happy visits with his sister and family in Massachusetts. There are no words to describe how much Bob and his big smile will be missed by all who knew him.

There will be a private service in Huntington at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
