ROBERT W. HADDLETON, SR.

Robert W. Haddleton, Sr., of Pepperell and Norfolk, MA passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015, at age 80. He was the son of the late Frank C. and Doris E. Haddleton. Bob grew up in Milton, MA and spent summers in Chatham, MA. He graduated from Milton High School and received his degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University. He was married to Donna (DeWitt) Haddleton for the past 50 years. Bob leaves two children: Leigh Ann (Ken) Colvin of MA and Robert (Tammi) Haddleton, Jr. of IL; and six grandchildren: Meaghan, Annakate and Aspen Colvin, Eric, Mark and Joy Haddleton. He was the brother of the late Russell E. Haddleton of Chatham, MA.

Bob loved time spent with family, photography, HAM radio, being on the water, and his dog, Orbit. Bob could fix anything.

Over the years, Bob held positions on a number of Norfolk town boards, commissions and committees, serving on the Norfolk Planning Board, Board of Appeals, Growth Study Commission, Library Study Building Committee, Earth Removal Advisory Committee, Metropolitan Area Planning Council and he served as a Shelter Management Officer for Norfolk.

Bob served as the Secretary/Treasurer for the King Philip Music Association, supporting this program for many years, and was a member of the Norfolk Lions Club.

Bob was a First Lieutenant in the Massachusetts Army National Guard and served as an Auxiliary Police officer for the town of Norfolk. He retired from Northrop Grumman Corporation after 31 years as an engineer.

Bob was the brother-in-law of Nancy Walent and the late Clifton Walent of Pembroke, MA, Beverley DeWitt-Moylan and Bill Moylan of Los Osos, CA, Kathleen DeWitt of Louisville, CO, Lorraine and Alfred Baptista of Taunton, MA, Bill and Diane DeWitt of Bow, NH and Constance Haddleton of Dover, MA. He was uncle to many nieces and nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Services will be private. Arrangements by Badger Funeral Homes, Inc., Groton, MA.
